Drawing from various cultural legends, I sought to craft a unique narrative that blends dark fantasy with psychological tension, exploring the clash between ancient powers and modern-day challenges.

The weather is cold year-round, with rain almost constantly falling, creating an atmosphere of eerie serenity.The vast forest that encircles Nottland holds secrets of its own, with areas so forbidden that few dare to venture near them. The townsfolk, numbering a humble 3,541, are deeply superstitious, their lives entwined with ancient traditions and a profound respect for the natural world that sustains them. Life here is quiet, peaceful even, but there is an unspoken understanding among the people: not all mysteries in the forest are meant to be uncovered.

Andgodi
A divine spirit revered as a god-like entity, governing aspects of existence in both the spiritual and physical realms. Andgodi are sources of immense power, capable of bestowing blessings or curses, and are worshipped through sacred rituals to gain their favor or protection.
Improbus
A soulless entity that takes possession of a human body, born from the void when a person's intense desires summon it. The Improbus retains only the name of the body it claims and must fulfill the final wish of the original host to gain freedom. It has enhanced physical abilities and regenerative powers, but must consume human flesh to survive. Although it appears human, its black blood and demonic form set it apart.
Umbra
An Umbra is an Improbus that has fully lost its human form, becoming a creature of pure shadow and darkness. Stripped of all remnants of its former humanity, it exists as a hollow being driven only by instinct and hunger.
Venator
A hunter blessed with the blood of spirits, created to hunt and destroy the Improbus. Venators possess superior strength, speed, and heightened senses. They wield a spiritual weapon derived from a rune on their wrist, specifically designed to kill the Improbus and guide their souls to judgment. Despite their enhanced abilities, Venators are still mortal, but they are bound to protect humanity from these soulless beings.
Regnavar
The title given to the chieftain of the venator clans, signifying the supreme leader and protector. The Regnavar is the only venator chosen to wield the Crimson God's Blade, a sacred weapon bestowed by the Spirit of War, Sildri. This title is passed down through bloodlines or claimed through honorable combat by the most capable warrior.
Striga
A spiritual witch who serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. Strigas are deeply connected to the spirits known as the Seven, maintaining balance and guiding their communities through ancient rituals and practices. Revered for their wisdom and spiritual insight, they uphold the sacred traditions and protect the harmony between the realms, ensuring the continued connection between their people and the divine.
Seikona
A revered priestess chosen by the Seven spirits to serve as a conduit between the spiritual and mortal realms. Seikonas may possess healing abilities and the gift of prophecy, bestowed upon them through their deep spiritual connection. As a sign of the spirits' favor, they receive a sacred pendant, that marks them as the chosen, allowing them to interpret the will of the spirits and guide their people with wisdom and devotion.
